Koto Design Information

Koto is a British architecture and design studio specialising in hospitality cabins, spa and wellness spaces, and private residences. Founded after time spent living on a remote Norwegian island, the studio began with a simple idea: that buildings, thoughtfully designed, can change how people feel. Today Koto is a RIBA-chartered architecture and interiors practice delivering projects across the UK, Europe and the USA. We work with hoteliers, developers, and landowners to create architecture that responds directly to landscape, light and place. Our projects range from private cabins and off-grid retreats to multi-unit hospitality developments. Alongside bespoke architecture, Koto has developed prefabricated building systems designed for efficient global delivery while maintaining architectural integrity. Our work has been featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs and the BBC, as well as in publications including Dezeen, Wallpaper*, Elle Decoration and Dwell, as well as The Telegraph, The Times and The Guardian.
