Later Kosem Limited secured its coffee exporting license in 2005 and from then on it has been buying from local farmers and exporting coffee to the international market. Within its scope of operations, buying quality coffee and imparting better coffee husbandry practices and processing methods to local farmers was paramount to its operations. Thus Kosem has now partnered with the Coffee Industry Corporation Limited of Papua New Guinea under its PPAP scheme to establish and accommodate coffee farmer groups to fully utilize coffee in the rural areas and to establish a tangible and sustainable coffee marketing standard in rural Papua New Guinea. Kosem has steadily been growing and expanding its operations to most of Jiwaka Province and other rural parts of Papua New Guinea like Simbai in Madang Province and some parts of Sepik, Morobe and the Eastern Highlands Provinces. It has established integrity and stability in its operations that has been vital for customer interests and confidence. A steady buildup of Smallholder Group Market Centers which assists with both local and international quality control check is being supported through CIC's PPAP program. Coffee processing machinery and equipment, experience and expertise in coffee grading in compliance with international grading system, as well as general coffee buying and exporting operations are professionally managed, ensuring consistency in coffee quality to our customers. Since its initiation Kosem has been executing its operations with professionalism in all areas of its operations which is reflected in the expansion of its farmer groups and its market accumulation.
