KCC was formed in 2004 as a non-partisan and non-denominational Christian organization to bring an end to the sufferings endured by our brothers and sisters in North Korea, as well as China and other parts of the world, through non-violent means. By grace of God more than three thousand Korean pastors, representing millions of Korean Christians, have joined KCC. The main purpose of KCC is to pray for and aid the people of North Korea, and to tell the world about the sufferings endured by our blood related North Koreans, who through no fault of their own, suffer from the repressive North Korean regime, as well as bring awareness to the local communities the types of brutality, torture, slavery, as well as other non-humane conditions, which are part of their daily lives. On September 27, 2004, KCC hosted its first Inaugural Conference at the LAX Hilton Hotel which was attended by more than Two Thousand KCC pastors from all parts of the United States. In his Keynote Speech by US Senator Sam Brownback, Mr. Brownback announced that on this very same day, the North Korean Human Rights Act of 2004 was unanimously passed by both the US Congress and the Senate. Since February of 2005, regional churches of the KCC located throughout the United States and the world have been hosting Prayer Vigils. The Los Angeles Wailing Prayer Vigil was attended by 12,000, while the Seoul Wailing Prayer Vigil was attended by 20,000 attendees, and are considered to be the largest gatherings for North Korean Human Rights. KCC currently has representative strongholds in every state and major city in the United States, and all major provinces of South Korea as well as South America, Guatemala, Brazil, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Japan. KCC will continue with the Prayer Vigils to additional regions throughout the United States and the world. KCC will continue to speak even louder, pray even harder on behalf of our fellow brothers and sisters who cannot speak out on their own, wherever they may be, and will not leave or rest until Freedom and Protection is finally won for all. With God on our side, we will not fail.
