The Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority, KOMSA, is a quasi-governmental agency responsible for maritime transportation safety in Korea. KOMSA strives to protect the lives of people and to enhance the maritime transportation safety system, making our seas safer. KOMSA's primary responsibilities encompass a range of activities; conducting thorough ship inspections for safety compliance, carrying out research and development initiatives to enhance ship safety, actively engaging in activities within the International Maritime Organization, and promoting international cooperation in the maritime domain.
