KōDefy was founded by two women who believe the answer to the shortage of coders can be found by ‘in-sourcing’ programming projects to a previously untapped U.S.-based workforce – the women work force. At KōDefy, our mission is to create a talent pool for companies looking for software development resources by providing the pathway and training necessary to onboard new software talent in a non-traditional way. When women are presented software careers in the right light, they are often drawn to its elegance, its creativity, its logic, and the flexibility provided as a viable career path. Software programming is something they could learn to do – from the comfort of their own home, worked into their own busy schedules. Importantly, software programmers have a much higher earning power than most women-dominated careers. At KōDefy, we offer products and services specifically designed to help women and men identify their potential for a career in software programming. We then make learning coding or related software development skills meaningful, relevant, and engaging. Participants will have access to real world experience that builds their career portfolio and exhibits mastery of software knowledge. Once skills have been mastered, KōDefy connects ‘graduates’ with companies who onboard these qualified candidates into paid programming opportunities.
