KNX UK Information

KNX UK is part of a network of national associations who are all members of the international KNX Association based in Brussels, with a vast worldwide membership from major manufacturers, integrators, training schools, academic institutions and other interested parties. KNX is an open protocol for home and building controls approved as an International Standard (ISO/IEC 14543–3) as well as a European Standard (CENELEC EN50090 and EN ISO 22510) and Chinese Standard (GB/T 20965). As such it is the only WORLDWIDE standard for home and building controls, including lighting and blind control to systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, monitoring, alarming, water control, energy management, metering as well as household appliances, audio - AV and lots more. KNX certified products carry the KNX logo and are guaranteed to be interoperable. The protocol is used to build intelligent integrated building control solutions for domestic and commercial applications. As a result, owners, residents, or managers of these properties have control over the everyday working or living environment. This can cover all building services such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, security, metering, shading sun tracking, management systems, from domestic residences to airports, hospitality and universities and everything in between.
