Knox Gardens Information

The Knox Gardens Cricket Club is a family club. Our environment welcomes all and we pride ourselves on our very inclusive, welcoming culture. All players are treated equally and socially the club is a fantastic place to be. Our facilities, Knox Gardens Reserve, in Wantirna South, are some of the best in the Eastern suburbs and we pride ourselves in providing an enjoyable place for people to play cricket both on field and off. The club had a very successful 2014/15 with our 1st XI playing finals in Norm Reeves shield for the first time. Our 2nd XI, Under 13s and Under 12s enjoyed premiership success whilst our 3rd XI, Veterans and Under 15s lost hard fought grand finals. At Knox Gardens we accommodate players of all ages and all skill levels and all Junior Teams are coached by accredited coaches who also have "working with children" certification. The Knox Gardens Cricket Club caters for players from 4 years of age (Boys and Girls), in our MILO In2cricket program... to Junior players on Friday Nights (U/10s, U/12s, U/14s )... and Junior players on Saturday mornings (U/16s)... through to Senior cricketers on Saturday afternoons (Two Day & Split Innings Teams)... plus field a Veterans team for over 40s on every 2nd Sunday afternoon. In Season 2016/17 we will have Senior teams including teams in Norm Reeves Shield, Division 3, Division 5 and Division 7. We have junior teams in each age group at our 4 home grounds both at Knox Gardens Reserve and also Llewellyn Reserve. Due to redevelopment on Knox Gardens second oval, Division 5 and 7 will play home games at Wantirna College located at 90 Harold St, Wantirna VIC 3152. Our MILO In2Cricket program starts for Boys and Girls aged four (4) years and teaches the basic skills and "How Cricket can be FUN" for children until they are ready to progress into a Non-competitive modified rules program at about 7 or 8 years of age. The club then manages this transition with the parents to ensure each child is in the most appropriate learning and playing environment. The club will be led by Captain Coach Jarrod Butcher. Adam Wild has been appointed as our Bowling Coach and Rhys Marget has been appointed as our Batting Coach.
