KnoWare Inc Information

KnoWare, Inc., was founded in May of 1996 with the intent of providing quality software poducts to the Internet Community. Our flagship product, Internet Neighborhood, which integrates FTP functionality into Windows Explorer, was released in December of 1996. Internet Neighborhood was the first commercially available FTP namespace extension for the Microsoft Windows environment. 1999 saw the release of our second major product offering, ftpNetDrive. ftpNetDrive took another groundbreaking approach to Internet File Managenent by allowing users to read and write files over the Internet. By mapping a drive letter to a remote FTP server, access to the Internet becomes transparent to the user. In 2000 we introduced Internet Neighborhood Pro; a combination of Internet Neighborhood, ftpNetDrive, and various other Internet file utilities. Internet Neighborhood Pro is poised to become the industry standard for Internet File Management. KnoWare, Inc. is headquartered in Riva, Maryland, just outside of Annapolis, approximately 20 miles East of Washington D.C. and 30 miles South of Baltimore.
