KNIPSU set out to provide an interdisciplinary meeting point for creative exchange and operate both as an art space and a mobile arena producing exhibitions, screenings, live performance and publications. In the framework of collaboration and DIY KNIPSU was founded in August 2010 by artists Hilde Jørgensen and Maya Økland. Since 2016 the gallery is run by Hilde Jørgensen with Tarik Hindic (2016- ) and Thomas Thomsen (2018-). KNIPSU is generously supported by the Norwegian Arts Council and Bergen City. KNIPSU provides an interdisciplinary meeting point for artists across national borders, producing exhibitions, events, screenings, concerts, workshops and publications. post@knipsu.no
