KleanUp Information

The world has produced over 9 billion tons of plastic in the last 50 years, and more than TWO THIRDS of this is now in our environment. On average, less than 10 percent of the 450 million tons of plastic produced every year is recycled. While there are terrific initiatives around the world to move away from plastic to bio-degradable alternatives, that change will likely take some time. In the meanwhile, our planet is increasingly beginning to look like a giant ball wrapped in clingfilm. The only thing that is growing at an equally exponential pace is our adoption of social media platforms. There are now 3.5 billion social media users in the world, sharing hundreds of millions of posts and stories every single day. What if we could make those posts truly count? What if we could inspire each other with stories of how we're coming together in our homes, in our neighborhoods, and in our communities, to help save our environment? At KleanUp, we're creating the foundation for a conscientious, social platform where you will be able to do just that. Welcome to KleanUp - the social platform that lets you create a better world - one story at a time!
