The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a Statutory Organization of the Government, established by an act of parliament Chapter 496, in 1974. KEBS is the National Standards Body (NSB) and as such is mandated by the Act to perform the following activities:
Standards Development
Product Certification (Issuance of the Diamond Mark of Quality)
Quality System Certification (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001)
Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP codex principles 1997) System Certification
Consumer protection through the handling of consumer complaints
Assistance with the Implementation of Standards (Quality Assurance)
Metrology and Calibration
Quality Inspection of Imports at the Ports of Entry
Training Programmes and Technical assistance
Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) is a dynamic, vibrant, credible and respected business Membership association that represents members from Kenya's manufacturing industry.
Established in 1959 as a private sector body, KAM exists to advance the advocacy interests of industrialists and serves as a common voice for manufacturing and other value add sectors in Kenya.
KAM is owned and fully funded and managed by its members.
Kenya Trade Network Agency (KenTrade) is the state agency in Kenya that is mandated by law under the National Electronic Single Window System Act,2022 to facilitate international and local trade in Kenya. We also manage the Trade Facilitation Platform (TFP) portal (https://tfp.kenyatradenet.go.ke), the Information for Trade in Kenya portal (http://infotradekenya.go.ke) and the Soma KenTrade portal (https://soma.kentrade.go.ke/ ) and the I-Screen Kenya system portal (www.https://iscreenkenya.go.ke )
