KiOR is a next-generation renewable fuels company that has developed a proprietary technology platform to convert biomass into renewable crude oil. By enhancing nature’s method of making oil into a matter of seconds, KiOR converts non-food biomass into a into a crude oil that is molecularly identical to conventional crude oil. This product is then refined into into a variety of gasoline and diesel blendstocks that are compatible with our country’s existing transportation fuel infrastructure and create significant societal and environmental benefits. KiOR believes that, among alternative fuels, domestically produced cellulosic fuels from non-food sources are the best near-term solution for reducing our dependence on foreign oil, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and creating high-quality jobs and economic benefits for rural America.
