Kino College currently focuses solely on preparing Medical Assistants for a rewarding career in today's healthcare industry. This single focus allows us to provide the highest quality education possible. How long does it take me to graduate from Kino College? The Professional Medical Assistant program at Kino College is approximately 8-months in duration. You will spend approximately six months in the classroom and another month and a half in an externship prior to graduation. Are there costs of the program beyond tuition? Required textbooks and all other necessary supplies will be provided by Kino College following admission to the program. Your first set of scrubs will be provided to you. Additional sets will be available for purchase for your convenience. What time of day are classes held? Kino College realizes that many of our students have family and work responsibilities. In order to accommodate students varying schedules, we make every effort to offer a convenient class schedule. Currently, we are running evening classes, Monday through Thursday. Ask your admissions advisor which morning, afternoon or evening classes will be available for you in the future. Does Kino College offer Financial Aid? At Kino College we are committed to helping you discover ways that will assist you in paying for your tuition. Our admissions team will help you make the best decisions for your particular financial situation. What is an externship? After students successfully complete all coursework, they are placed in an externship. An externship is an unpaid position within a medical facility where students apply their skills with real patients under close supervision. This opportunity provides students with valuable on-the-job practice and coaching in real-life situations. Will Kino College get me a job when I graduate? Kino College helps graduates with employment placement assistance.
