Travancore School is a Department of Education and Training (DET) school that originally provided school support for students undergoing treatment for mental illness in the Western and Northern Metropolitan Regions of Melbourne. It has adapted and developed its services to meet the emerging requirements of mental health services and the growing interest in schools for specialised assistance and support to better understand and manage mental health issues. Travancore School works in partnership with Royal Children's Hospital Mental Health (RCH MH) and Orygen Youth Health. Our work includes the Banksia Ward classroom, Travancore School Outreach Team, Parkville/Sunshine Education Program and Operation Newstart. The primary educational focus of all programs is to ensure student engagement with education and transition to community based settings where applicable. The school also builds the capacity of teachers and other staff to assist students with mental health issues. Our teachers offer comprehensive classroom, outreach support to students in educational settings and individual pathway planning.

Kinder Academy Early Learning Centre is a family owned and operated Long Day Care Preschool that provides quality care for children aged 2 to 6 years. We are open Monday to Friday from 7.30 AM to 6.00 PM for 50 weeks per year. We are conveniently located within 4 minutes walk from Asquith Railway Station, St Patrick Catholic Primary School, Asquith Public School and Asquith Girls High School. We believe in providing care and education in a safe, secure environment, which fosters growth, experimentation, relationships, diversity and respect. Children need to feel safe to open to educators, and feel comfortable to explore their environment.
