Kinata Ltd specialise in providing person-to-person expert advice solutions using user-friendly technology. We aim to allow individuals to find an expert when they need them in order to receive advice to supplement their own expertise. At the heart of the business is Kinesis, our hugely innovative Patient Referral Avoidance solution; it enables GPs and other clinicians to obtain clinical advice and guidance from specialists in order to avoid unnecessary referrals to secondary care. Kinesis reduces the time to appropriate treatment, improves education and interaction amongst clinicians and provides substantial direct and indirect costs savings across health communities. It does this while leaving the health professionals fully in control of the process and without creating additional work for them. Kinesis has been in active use since 2012 in a number of Clinical Commissioning Groups and has resulted in avoidance of around 13,000 unnecessary referrals to date and savings of millions of pounds.
