Launched in 2017, KiliGATE initially focused on Kilimanjaro with the mission to promote fair porter treatment and ethical climbs by making it easy for travelers to book with responsible local operators. With the help of our partners, KiliGATE was proud to be the #1 booking platform for ethical and responsible Kilimanjaro tours from the very start. To ensure the quality of our partner operators and local monitoring of their responsible tourism practices, we partnered with the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP), local NPO. Only qualified tour companies were invited to promote their services on KiliGATE.
