Structured as a family office, Kijoh Capital focuses on passive buy-and-hold interests in private companies, real estate, and alternative assets. Kijoh operates almost exclusively by referral and has a preference for closely-held family businesses that have a demonstrated history of growing sustainable cash flow and, more often than not, are contemplating a senior leadership transition. Kijoh does not hold external capital at this time. Kijoh Consulting provides management consulting services to particular interests of Kijoh Capital and occasionally other Canadian mid-market private equity groups. Kijoh Consulting’s most applicable expertise in this context is in scaling businesses – specifically alternative equity models, institutionalization of tacit practice, leadership development, succession planning, and of course strategic planning.
