Kids Ark Foundation Information

Kids Ark Thailand is a registered non-profit organization whose purpose is to support needy children in the province of Chiang Mai. Founded in 2000. Helping vulnerable children and young people receive good care and education. This to help them to develop into safe and respected individuals with self-reliance, confidence and skills that can strengthen their position throughout life. Kids Ark is working to meet the needs of children through • a basic education • access to health care • efforts to generate revenue for children's guardians Kids Ark has found sponsors around the world that help to meet more than 300 poor and orphaned children's needs in remote villages. Kids Ark believes that education is the key factor for the children to become independent adults and be able to leave poverty. For this reason, Kids Ark as a condition of its support to the children involved in school education. Kids Ark has launched two House of Hope, a Chiang Mai suburb Sansai and one in a village near the border with Burma, a day center in a mountain village, built teachers' houses and dormitories in Ban Wanaluang, built a center for the production of local crafts in Ban Pong Hi, helped the Red Lahu-minority to start a legal, registered organization and supported the Red Lahu-village to start and run a "trekking" business.
