Kidasha Information

Kidasha’s MISSION is to increase aspiration, resilience and opportunities for children living in urban poverty in Nepal. We support the most disadvantaged children living in urban poverty in Nepal. The children we work with experience neglect, abuse and exploitation as the norm. They are invisible and ignored, with little hope of a better future. We can help. OUR APPROACH: Through our local Nepali team on the ground, we understand children’s real needs. We develop tailored programmes and pilot them directly in the community in partnership with local government and organisations. We reach as many children as possible by building evidence to scale-up successful models and drive systemic change throughout Nepal. We improve children’s health & well-being, enable their education, learning and employment, and protect them from abuse and exploitation. Together with our partners and supporters, we can give each child the opportunity to realise their full potential. We enable socially and economically excluded children to fulfil their potential, supporting their development and reducing the impact of discrimination and social injustice. OUR VISION is for all children growing up in urban Nepal to be assured of a safe bright future. Kidasha is a UK-registered charity (1106156).
