Koç University was founded in 1993 as a non-profit private university in Istanbul, Turkey. Its beautiful campus sprawls over a sixty-two acre estate that succeeds in balancing accessibility to all of Istanbul with retreat from the distractions of city life. The product of a meticulous, integrated design, Koç University’s sixty buildings -academic and administrative- include laboratories, library, dormitories, faculty residences, social venues, health center and sports facilities. In the twenty years since its establishment, Koç University has become one of the leading universities in Turkey, distinguished by notable contributions to the elevation of education, knowledge and service both domestically and beyond. With Colleges of Social Sciences and Humanities, Administrative Sciences and Economics, Science, Engineering, Law, Nursing and Medicine, Koç University offers 22 undergraduate, 32 graduate and 18 PhD programs.

Founded on the foundations of the Chair of Child Health established in 1954 by Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı, Hacettepe rapidly became one of Türkiye’s most prominent institutions in the fields of health and science. With the establishment of the Children’s Hospital and the Institute of Child Health, a strong academic structure was formed that integrated education, research, and public service. This pioneering approach in health sciences was further institutionalized with the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences. With the official establishment of Hacettepe University in 1967, this accumulated academic heritage was consolidated under a single university structure. Since then, Hacettepe has taken its place among Türkiye’s most respected and leading higher education institutions. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017 with pride, Hacettepe University today continues to contribute to social development and universal values in the fields of science, technology, and the arts through its 17 faculties, 15 institutes, 4 vocational schools, 2 schools of higher education, 1 conservatory, and 98 research and application centers. Türkiye’nin ilk vakıf üniversitesi olan Bilkent’in kuruluş hazırlıkları 1967’ye dayanır. Ankara’nın batısında geniş bir arazinin alınmasıyla başlayan bu hazırlıklar, bugün 60.000’e yakın mezun vermiş bir araştırma üniversitesinin temellerini atmıştır. Bilkentliler, Türkiye’nin ve dünyanın köklü şirketleri ile kamu ve yükseköğretim kurumlarında üniversitemizi başarıyla temsil etmektedir. İhsan Doğramacı Vakıfları kararıyla 20 Ekim 1984’te kurulmuş olan Bilkent Üniversitesi, bugün 3 enstitüsü ve 10 fakültesi bünyesindeki 30 lisans ve 59 lisansüstü programı, 12.000 öğrencisi ve 34 ülkeden öğretim elemanlarıyla dünyaca tanınan bir eğitim ve araştırma merkezidir. Bilkent Üniversitesi’nin eğitim yaklaşımı, öğrencilerin özgün düşünme ve akılcı karar verme becerilerini geliştirmeye yöneliktir. Bu özellikler, güçlü bir alan bilgisi ve olgun bir dünya görüşüyle birleşerek Bilkentlileri yaşam boyu başarıya taşır. Bilkent, 4 kıtadan 360 üniversiteyle yaptığı değişim anlaşmaları sayesinde öğrencilerinin uluslararası vizyonunu daha da genişletmektedir. Kurulduğundan beri öğretim üyesi başına düşen uluslararası bilimsel yayın sayısı bakımından ülkemizde ve dünyada üst sıralarda yer alan Bilkent Üniversitesi, yükseköğretimdeki öncü rolünü sürdürmektedir. Bilkent, YÖK'ün 2021 yılı Vakıf Yükseköğretim Kurumları Raporu'na göre araştırma-geliştirme ve kütüphane harcamalarına en yüksek bütçeyi ayıran üniversitedir. Öğrencilere diploma sonrası planlarında yol göstermek için 1988’de Kariyer Merkezi’ni kuran Bilkent, öğrenci ve mezunları ile iş dünyası arasında kuvvetli bir bağlantı oluşturmuştur. Türkiye’de bir üniversite bünyesinde bu amaçla açılmış ilk birim olan bu merkez, bugün Kariyer ve Mezunlar Ofisi olarak hizmet vermektedir. Öğrenci ve mezunlar, özgeçmişlerini ofisin veri tabanına yükleyerek sisteme üye şirketlerin staj ve iş ilanlarına internet üzerinden başvurabilmektedir.
