At Keystone Prep High School (KPHS), we pride ourselves on our unique style of education. We offer core curriculum classes along with electives that are personally meaningful for our student body. We prepare them for college while also preparing them for life. Our personal approach includes an Advocacy program that allows a student to choose a teacher with whom they best relate and spend personal time every day under their guidance. During the Advocacy program each student creates their individualized plan for their future. Our teachers are trained in the best educational practices and familiar with different styles of learning so they are prepared for our unique culture. For some bright, talented students who have ADHD, anxiety, or other learning differences, succeeding is difficult in a traditional high school. Building on over 40 years of success with Tampa Day School, we know how to help students benefit from specific strategies and tools designed for their particular learning styles. A positive, relationship-based learning environment is essential to their ongoing success. We "get" these students and are dedicated to their current and future academic, social and professional goals. Accommodations: KPHS provides specific accommodations based on a student’s unique needs. Our staff uses IEPs, 504s and psycho-educational evaluations to determine how those accommodations should be administered and applied in the classroom setting. Curriculum Overview: At KPHS, we offer the Florida Department of Education 24-course requirement. Within these requirements, we offer Honors credit, Advanced Placement, and Dual-Enrollment options through Hillsborough Community College and St. Pete College. We prepare students for the Bright Futures scholarship and provide credit recovery when necessary. We also have the Access Point courses in our Reussir program. In addition, we are equipped to provide additional educational options for students past the typical four years or accelerate a student to help them graduate early.
