We enable children, young people and adults to make their own life choices, to develop confidence and independence to live, learn, thrive and engage. It’s about supporting them to live their lives to the fullest possible potential.
We deliver high quality, person-centred care and support to adults, children and young people with a range of complex needs. Our approach means that people can be supported in their homes, community, residential or nursing care, and a wide variety of supported living arrangements. For children and young people, this ranges from high quality, local fostering agencies to highly specialised residential care.
As a leading provider of social care since 1993, we own 550 residential homes and specialist services in the UK, and have a growing presence in the MENA region. Our assistive technology gives children and adults a voice, helping disabled people all over the world to be more independent. We have a strong track record in supporting public, private and third sector organisations to become more inclusive, by recommending actions to support disability inclusive organisations.

At Horizon, we proudly support more than 800 children and young people aged 5-25 across England each year, helping them achieve brighter futures.
Since operations began in 2007, we’ve grown into a nationwide provider of integrated children’s services, guided by a trauma-informed, outcome-focused approach that puts the needs of children and young people at the heart of everything we do.
What sets us apart is our scale and joined-up approach. We operate across three integrated divisions – Specialist Education, Children’s Residential Care, and Supported Accommodation – to offer a seamless pathway of support from childhood to independent living. Our cross-divisional model ensures smooth, well-planned transitions, empowering young people with the confidence, skills and resilience they need for adulthood.
Therapeutic practice is embedded across all our services, enabling us to respond to each young person’s individual needs with understanding, compassion, and care.
Many of the young people we support have encountered significant challenges, including trauma, care placement breakdowns, and barriers to education. Some may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, ASC, or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
With our dedicated care, support, and specialist education, young people feel safe, build strong support networks, enjoy positive childhood experiences, and are empowered to achieve bright and successful futures.
Compass Community exists to create a future of strength and opportunity for every child. Across fostering, residential care and education, we use a therapeutic, innovative approach that puts children first. Our mission is to be the UK’s #1 children’s services provider – reaching more children, being the best place to work in children’s services, and helping to transform the sector for good.
Our values, Integrity, Courage and Care guide how people work here. We listen properly, challenge each other well, and get on with fixing what needs to be fixed, together. When something goes wrong, we deal with it. When something goes well, we celebrate it. That's the work of Life Changers, and we look forwards to welcoming you to the team.
