Stroom Den Haag is het expertisecentrum voor kunst, samenleving en het publieke domein. Samen met hedendaagse kunstenaars ontsluiten we de cultuur van het samenleven, verkennen we toekomstgerichte maatschappelijke perspectieven en prikkelen we de verbeeldingskracht van het publiek. Dit doen we door een drietal werkvelden: (1) we adviseren over en faciliteren kunst in de openbare ruimte en het publieke domein; (2) we stimuleren Haagse kunstenaars en initiatieven als onderdeel van de stedelijke samenleving; en (3) we presenteren artistiek en maatschappelijk relevante programmering voor verschillende doelgroepen, op onze locatie, in de Haagse binnenstad en bij partners in het binnen- en buitenland. De drie werkvelden staan gelijkwaardig naast elkaar en staan met elkaar in verbinding. Stroom werd in 1990 opgericht als onafhankelijke stichting.
