Kesher Israel Congregation Information

At Kesher Israel, we strive to make sure that everyone can participate in the life of our community, including those with physical limitations or other handicaps. For those with physical limitations, we provide ramp access to both our sanctuary entrance and school wing entrance. The school wing has an elevator that services all three stories. In order to facilitate full participation in worship services, our bimah (raised platform in the center of the sanctuary from which services are led and the Torah is read) has a ramp to allow those with difficulty walking or in a wheel chair to fully participate in services and come up for an honor. We also provide hearing assisted devices that are linked to our sound system for those with auditory issues, as well as large print prayer books for those who have difficulty with the regular sized print.
