We specialise in books of Irish interest and our art gallery specialises in paintings and sculpture of Irish artists. Founded in 1940 as a small bookshop in Galway city, Kennys has grown over the years into a business offering with a bookshop, art gallery, bindery, website, book club and library & collector services. We stock the largest collection in the world of Irish language books and have a renowned stock of books on Irish history, culture, literature and language, as well as a comprehensive selection of non-Irish material. We are specialists in Library & Collector Services, with over 45 years experience in sourcing and selling Archives & Special Collections. We also provide a valuations service on books & archives to private and institutional clients. The Kenny Gallery opened in Galway in 1968 - the first commercial gallery in the west of Ireland. The gallery specialises in the work of Irish artists, and has hosted hundreds of exhibitions over the years. There is huge range of stock in the gallery, including that of artists such as Kenneth Webb, John Behan, Mick Flaherty and Paul Guilfoyle.
