Hoyle Nursery School is Bury's only Local Authority Maintained Nursery School which was established in 1975 to serve the local community. The School was inspected by OFSTED in October 2019 and is judged as OUTSTANDING for the second time. The Head Teacher and School SENDCo is Mrs Rachel O'Neil. Please see contact details below. Hoyle offers: Funded Nursery Education of 15 hours per week for 3 and 4 year olds during term time. Funded 30 hour places for eligible 3 and 4 year olds during term time.

Chesterton Primary School is a single-form entry school, set in the heart of Chesterton. Our children are inquisitive, lively, and enthusiastic about their learning. Our school opened in September 2013 as an academy trust school with its sponsors, The Active Learning Trust. The staff, the Active Learning Trust and Governors are dedicated to the growth and development of the school. Together with the parents, carers and the local community, we work to promote high standards of achievement and behaviour. I have been the Head Teacher at Bearwood since 2002 and have had the privilege to work with the children that have attended here over the years. It is a very friendly school, with a strong family ethos, where children are encouraged to become confident, caring articulate citizens who use their abilities to the full. We expect our children to rise to the challenges they are given, to meet them enthusiastically, positively and to learn from them. We provide a calm and happy atmosphere and set high standards of respect, courtesy, hard work and achievement for all children and adults.
