KDragonfly Information

KDragonfly is an agile talent network connecting Gigs and Gurus. We assist Independent Contractors(IC) seeking project work and the Employers who need their expertise. Freelancers, consultants and other independent workers account for 16 million people in the country now and will become a majority by 2020. Increased technology is driving shorter project times, the way we work is changing and this trend is here to stay. However, this new way to work can be costly to businesses if Independent Contractors are misclassified. Since 2009, the Department of Labor (DOL) has collected $29 million in back wages for more than 29,000 workers who were determined to be misclassified as 1099 ICs rather than W-2 employees. The Obama administration's war against misclassification is only going to intensify, especially since more employers may be tempted to classify workers as 1099 ICs to avoid complying with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) better known as Obamacare. Kdragonfly's products and services were created specifically to address the Employer's need to find project-based talent and avoid costly misclassification. Our Gig and Guru marketplace is THE place to find talented Gurus and post project-based Gigs. Our unique vetting process incorporates compliance checks (vetting) into every Independent Contractor (Guru) Profile as part of the sign-up process. The vetting results are visible to Employers searching our marketplace.
