KJZZ 14 is an independent television station serving Salt Lake City, Utah and surrounding areas. More than 80 translator stations relay KJZZ-TV signals to viewers throughout Utah, southwestern Wyoming, southeastern and eastern Nevada, southwestern Colorado and northern Arizona. The station was originally purchased by Larry H. and Gail Miller in February 1993. Immediately following the purchase, Miller changed the stations original call letters from KXIV to KJZZ to reflect the station's status as the broadcast television outlet for the NBA's Utah Jazz. KJZZ broadcasts a variety of programming, including popular syndicated programs; game shows, and talk and reality shows. It also airs local-interest sports telecasts such as high school football playoff and championship games.
