KCR College Radio - The Sound of State is San Diego State University’s completely student run radio station. Broadcasting 24/7 365 live online (KCR.sdsu.edu) and on local cable (Cox 956/TWC 957) KCR carrys content for SDSU students by SDSU students. The program schedule is adjusted every semester to fit what SDSU students are doing/want to hear. Some of the popular programs on KCR include Aztec Ice Hockey, Aztec Baseball, The KCR Morning Show and Club KCR. All shows are hosted by current SDSU students, alumni and staff. KCR's reach extends to opening SDSU students up to new bands either on the air during the program quality control or at the many events KCR puts on. KCR has won many awards throughout the years with the recent 1st place IBS Award for best sports play by play. KCR has been in continuous operation since 1969.
