"United Chemical Company” LLP was established at the request of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the chemical industry projects. 1% of “Almeks Plus Firm” LLP – the private investor, the company, one of the largest holding groups in Kazakhstan - a joint stock company "Holding group “ALMEKS". Main activities of “Almeks Firm" LLP: scientific research and development work, the development and introduction of new technologies, equipment, materials and products, construction, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits, collection and recycling of industrial wastes and secondary raw materials, production and sales of industrial and technical purposes, medicines and consumer goods. Strategic intents – to be an effective and highly profitable domestic producer of the polypropylene and other products of the gas processing and petrochemical industry by 2015. The Project was developed as part of the "Program for development of the petrochemical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2008-2013", approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of 29th January 2004, No.101 in order to use the large amount of Tengiz gas as feedstock for IPC on production of petrochemical products with value added for subsequent sales on the domestic and export markets.
