Kaw Valley has grown over the years and currently operates under the Kaw Valley Companies conglomerate with five distinct divisions: Mining-Processing-Bulk Supplies for Sand, Gravel, Aggregate, Dirt, Demolition, Excavating and Grading, On Site Recycling and Clean Rubble Landfill. The Kaw Valley Companies group offers service in these segements of industry across the Kansas City metropolitan area and Midwest Region. In 1998, his partner Adrian Drummond left Kaw Valley Companies. At that time, Mr. Kates' sons Joey and Tim took active roles in the management and operations of the company ensuring continued growth and quality service for the future.
