Katharine Jessica Interior Design is a multi-faceted boutique firm specializing in both residential and commercial projects. Katharine Posillico McGowan, the firm's principal, oversees the planning of each project from the start of construction through the finished product. Katharine and her team establish and maintain direct client relationships throughout the entire project, listening to the needs and vision of the clients. The result is a unique design that reflects each clients individuality and taste. Katharine's attention to detail, ability to mix finishes and materials, has led to the creation elegant spaces that are functional and stylish for a variety of projects throughout the tri-state area. Katharine has been involved in the design world for over 20 years. After graduating from Lehigh University, Katharine began her career as a fashion buyer, then a product designer, developing her keen eye for unique style and function. From there she studied at the New York School of Interior Design. She launched her own design firm, Katharine Jessica Interior Design in 2003. Her work is featured in many national and regional publications including New York Spaces magazine where she was recognized as one of the "10 New Designers Under 40 to Watch" and Newsday's All-Star Designers of 2015. Currently, Katharine is a Board Member and EVP of Development for Family Service League, LI. A member of ASID, NY Metro and DBA of LI, Katharine is also a proud supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Long Island and was a chosen designer for Project Design, Phase 1. Additionally, she designed a room in the Hampton Designer Showhouse which benefits Southampton Hospital sponsored by Traditional Home Magazine. Katharine has also been featured in Home Is Where The Heart Is Showhouse benefitting American Heart Association sponsored by Luxe Magazine and multiple Mansions & Millionaires Designer Showcases and received the "Notable Designer," award from Distinction magazine.
