Founded in 2023, Karoo is a brand born out of passion for sustainable, high-quality furniture. At the outset, our vision was to showcase an African inspired brand to a global audience that was founded on the core principles of quality, longevity, value and worth. We saw woven cain as the raw material that epitomised all four of these principles and so it was a natural starting point for our aspiring brand. We started small with a single item the humble, #Malawai Chair, which takes 12 days to expertly weave, a skill passed down from generations. And the rest is history.... 8 Months on and we have continued to improve and grow our product offering that now includes a range of sustainably sourced products, available online and in retail stores across the UAE and GCC. Each Karoo piece is handcrafted across Africa, in small batches, using only locally sourced sustainable materials.
