Karma Kelp is developing a premium, organic seaweed biostimulant designed to support resilient crops, healthier growth and more sustainable farming systems. Our Approach We work exclusively with fresh, wild-harvested Ecklonia maxima sourced from South Africa’s cold Atlantic waters. Shaped by some of the most demanding marine conditions on Earth, this kelp is carefully processed using gentle mechanical extraction to preserve its natural bioactive compounds. Research links these compounds to improved root development, nutrient uptake, stress tolerance and crop quality. Every batch is fully traceable from coastline to bottle. We partner directly with small-scale South African harvesters, supporting responsible sourcing that protects marine ecosystems while empowering coastal communities.
