As a member of the Los Angeles law firm of Alschuler, Grossman and Pines (now Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan) and as Counsel to the East Coast law firm Reed Smith, she gained recognition in the 1997-98, 1999-2000 and 2001-02 editions of The Best Lawyers in America. Kaplowitz also served as president of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and Chair of the American Bar Association's Employer-Employee Relations Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section and served as Marketing Partner for the Alschuler firm.
