Kapalua Advisory, under the direction of Richard Stanton, provides advisory and marketing services on various types of property development including land subdivisions, medium density development, multi storey residential and retirement living. Richard's passion for project advisory and marketing services led him to establish Kapalua Advisory. Richard is well known in Newcastle and the Hunter region for setting a high standard in how a specialised marketing and advisory services company operates. He has been a leading figure in the Newcastle property industry since 1980, and has been central to the success of some of the region's most ambitious land subdivision and multi-unit developments. During his 30-year term as one of the founders of a rebranded Creer & Berkeley, now known as Creer Property, one of the Newcastle's most prominent real estate agencies, Richard created a specialist projects division that grew to one of the most active in the region. Some of Richard's successes include the Lakelands Estate. Eighty hectares of scrub at Warners Bay was developed into 450 high quality building lots designed to accommodate over one thousand people. Faced with poor public perception, high interest rates and the recession of the early 1990's, Richard was instrumental in achieving record land prices and take-up rates at the time. In the multi storey residential space, Richard and his team achieved a massive 80 apartment pre-sale target at the Alto Apartments in Charlestown to secure project financing. This was equivalent to 80% of the total apartments on offer. This success was closely followed by the Landmark Apartments, a 54 apartment development with 1.5 levels of commercial space on the Pacific Highway, Charlestown. Challenges overcome at the time included a high level of buyer cynicism to off the plan sales and concerns about a second large-scale development in the area.
