Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa Information

Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa (KJ) is a Martu organisation that was established in 2005 to help preserve Martu culture and build sustainable Martu communities. KJ is the largest employer of Martu with over 30 permanent Martu employees and approximately 240 per annum employed on a casual basis in KJ programs and activities. Martu are the traditional owners of the Martu native title determination, including Karlamilyi National Park, spanning three desert bioregions and 15 million hectares. KJ is focused on three complementary objectives: • to preserve and celebrate Martu culture; • to build a viable economy in the Martu communities; • to build pathways for young Martu to a healthy future.
