Kantrip — a mobile game studio in everyone's hands. Mobile gaming is worth over $100bn, yet almost no one gets to build in it. Making games has meant specialist tools, knowledge locked inside a handful of studios, and budgets most people will never have. So the many play, and the few build. We want to change that. Kantrip is a mobile game engine and live-ops platform that lets you build a real game without a studio behind you. Games are rendered natively and run well even on older Android phones, not wrapped in a webview. When a game is live, we handle the parts that usually need a whole team: monetisation, analytics, attribution, store SDKs and updates. We're building our own games on Kantrip first, so what we ship actually holds up in practice. We're backed by Arcadia, 20VC, and angels including Humam Sakhnini and Christopher Chedeau (vjeux). We're hiring in London. If you want to help bring game-making to far more people, get in touch.
