What is Kanopi? Kanopi is a place for your thoughts and ideas to grow over time. Kanopi has no documents, files, or folders. Kanopi is built on Nodes and Links. Nodes have a title, some content such as text, image, pdf, audio or video, and links to other Nodes. On top of this foundation, Kanopi has tools for however you may think: Trees, like outlines, for organizing information and selectively diving into the details, and Maps, like mindmaps, for thinking broadly and expansively without concern for organization. These tools are built on Nodes and Links. As you add an item to a Tree or a Map you search for existing Nodes and create new Nodes. Everything in your Kanopi can be connected, and this connection is encouraged. Connecting your thoughts makes them more meaningful and accessible, which in turn makes them more likely to be refined and grow as you stumble upon the same thoughts from different directions.
