Kane Building LLC, established in 2002, is a full-service remodeler and custom homebuilder, carpentry contractor, HERS Rater, and design/build service provider that primarily serve the Lake Martin and Auburn areas. Mike Kane, principal, is a graduate of Auburn University College of Architecture, Design, and Construction with a degree from the Department of Building Science. With a strong belief in continuing education and innovation, Mike holds certifications through the National Association of Home Builders and is an Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council. Our objective is to understand our customers' expectations and align them with our abilities while being conscious of durability, resources, efficiency, and craft. We believe in an emphasis on communication and customer service, hands-on project management, quality products and materials, and traditional ideals of pride in craftsmanship. Along with traditional building and remodeling services, we also specialize in advanced framing, tile systems including uncoupling and waterproofing substrates for floors and showers, high performance building envelope and wall assembly detailing, thermally optimized metal roofing, window and door installation including integrated flashings and water mitigating details, vented rain screen siding systems, conditioned crawlspaces, high efficiency and climate specific design, seasonal movement resistive interior finish carpentry, and custom cabinets and built-ins including components built with reclaimed lumber and environmentally preferable products.
