The company first started production of LP buses, the chassis of which were imported from Germany and assembled them in the current northern factory of Iran Khodro. nowadays, IKCO is the biggest car manufacturing company in the middle east with more than 700,000 car production per year

After sometime KMC started its production line in "Arg-Jadid"​ Special Economic Zone ,in the middle of Bam desert, and produced the very first Daewoo Cielo in Kerman Motor Auto making firm manufactory inside Iran. Since then KMC has been collaborated with Daewoo Motors, Lifan, JAC and Hyundai Motors in both CBU (importation) and CKD (production).

Atlas Khodro Co. started its activities on autumn 2007 to produce six various models of KIA MOTORS vehicles. Although the import of foreign vehicles had been prospered again at this time and after a short-time standstill, the strategy of Atlas Khodro was initiated according to after-sales services which had not been paid enough attention in Iran. Atlas Khodro also tries to produce various vehicles for different classes of people with their different purchasing power. One of the important targets of Atlas Khodro is to develop its sales and after-sales services gradually to find its appropriate position for the brand of KIA in Iranian prosperous market. We believe that suitable after-sales services, application of modern standards of KIA in authorized service agencies and free periodical services are the rights of costumers and we try for a perfect and accurate performance. Coordination with new global markets and the import of the last models of KIA are priorities of Atlas Khodro Co.
