KA-RaceIng e.V. Information

The “KA-RaceIng” team is a university group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In just one year, this team will proceed through the entire process of automotive development in order to manufacture three powerful race cars. With these race cars, our team participates in one of the largest worldwide technical competitions for students, Formula Student. The almost 90 KA-RaceIng team members are organized like a small company. Every de- partment (subteam) bears the responsibility for fabricating a specific element of our vehi- cles. Each team member is then responsible for one particular part or task within these sub- teams. Leaders from every department meet weekly to discuss the progress of each car. All decisions affecting the team as a whole are made during these meetings. The KA-RaceIng department leaders also receive support from our alumni committee who pass on their own experiences. This committee advises the current team throughout the season, and ensures a lasting connection with our many alumni. Currently, we have more than 700 past team members represented.
