K Motors is a family business founded in 1957 by Kenneth Knibbs and developed over the following decades in partnership with Peter Iddon and George Houghton. With a strong focus on Land Rovers® from the word go, we have gradually transformed from a specialist in ex-military vehicle refurbishment and Land Rover® sales into an Independent Service Centre for the North West of England. Through our sister company LRDirect.com we are very active in the parts market for Land Rover® and Range Rover® and our Service Centre customers benefit directly from our buying power and our access to information on all Land Rover® and Range Rover® models. Our key workshop staff, Matt Brindle and Tom Kirby have over 40 years combined experience on the Land Rover® marque and through our connection with Autologic we are always up-to-date on the latest technical issues. We pride ourselves on developing cost-effective solutions to the many problems which can arise on the different Land Rover® and Range Rover® vehicles. Where the main Land Rover® dealership inform you that a particular unit has to be replaced at great expense, there is a good chance that we will be able to make a repair and/or source the required part at a much reduced cost. One of our priorities is to maintain skills and techniques in our workshop and we are just as able to replace the chassis on an aging One Ten as we are to re-calibrate the air suspension on the latest Range Rover®. We have spent hundreds of hours working on the Defender®, Discovery® and Freelander® vehicles and we are now gaining experience on the very latest models. In addition, we run a busy fitting centre for a range of upgrades and equipment from Allmakes, Britpart and Bearmach.
