JY Studios Information

JY Studios is a production design and virtual studio practice based in Cairo, established in 2004. We design the space the camera believes — physical, virtual, or both. Production and spatial design: sets for film, television and exhibitions, from the first drawing to the built space. Virtual studios: virtual sets and LED volume environments designed for the lens, working with camera tracking and real-time engines. Studio design: planning production studios, from chroma and LED stages to the control rooms behind them. The Egyptian Pavilion designed by JY Studios won Best Pavilion Design at the Cannes Marché du Film in 2025. Founded by Shereen Farghal, production designer and professor of production design, with more than thirty years of work across cinema, television and virtual studio systems. jystudios.com
