Just Patchwork Information

Just Patchwork was established by Gai and Elwin Taylor in September 1997. Demand for patchwork and quilting supplies and tuition has grown, and we relocated to larger premises in July 1999. Our front shop is the retail space and up the stairs in our back shop is our PFAFF and JANOME sewing machine displays as well as the busy workshop/class area. As the business increased, we quickly ran out of space, and we were fortunate to be able to purchase an extra shop at the rear of the Centre in 2003 to use as our warehouse. This has given us the area required to store and assemble the merchandise to service the needs of our local, interstate and overseas customers. Our vision for "Just Patchwork" is to be able to provide our customers with the complete Patchwork solution. We have endeavoured to do this by providing: classes and workshops catering for beginners to advanced quilters an extensive range of fabrics, books and haberdashery expert advice on planning and coordination of patchwork projects sales and service on PFAFF sewing machines, SewEzi tables and "Tutto" Sewing trolleys Project planning and coordination becomes easy when contemplating the 2500+ bolts of fabric in store - most coordinated by colour or by design. Freestanding bays also hold special collections of fabrics. As well as stocking patterns and kits of our own design, we also have available patterns and kits from the best local and overseas designers. We are continually on the lookout for new and innovative projects for our customers. As well as catering for customers from the local area, we also have a regular stream of tourists visiting the shop, as they travel up and down the coast, as well as visitors holidaying in the area. We also travel all around Australia and New Zealand to exhibit in "Quilt and Craft Shows", enabling us to promote and expand the business.
