Michael Jackel started experimenting with home made fruit snacks when he wanted to reduce refined sugar from his diet. A simple desire to find a delicious and fun-to-eat snack, free from unnatural ingredients and added sugar lead to the creation of a chewier fruit leather made from actual real fruit. Juice Jerky launched in a single Farmers Market in 2020 and can now be found in Farmers Markets throughout San Diego County, some specialty retail markets and online.
