J&S Jacks began in the summer of 1995 when we (Jim & Steve, brothers), were fed up with kneeling and crawling next to our bikes to maintain them. With each of us having over 30 years experience in riding, maintaining, and storing our motorcycles, we knew exactly what we were looking for in a motorcycle lift. We decided to build our own because there was no motorcycle jack on the market we could trust with our cherished bikes. And thus, the idea for the Big Wheel Motorcycle Lift was born. The first motorcycle lift we developed turned out to be a 150 lb. behemoth that worked well but lacked stability. The bike needed to be strapped down. This wasn't good enough for two relatively inventive guys, like us.
