JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo (JP EP BiH) is the largest electricity production company in Bosnia and Herzegovina in capital, generation capacities, total generation and sale of electricity, and the number of customers. The company engages in generation, distribution and sale of electricity. Company's base capital amounts to BAM 2.237 billion (EUR 1.143 billion). Installed generation capacity amounts to 1,682 MW (thermal - 1,165 MW and hydro - 517MW), with annual generation in year 2015 of 6,909 GWh. The company's ownership structure is 90% state, and 10% public investment funds (PIFs) and small shareholders. JP EP BiH is the owner of seven coal mines in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These coal mines are structured as dependent companies, 100% owned by JP EP BiH. In addition to the coal mines, JP EP BiH also has a majority stake in several other companies. The seven coal mines and the remaining majority owned companies, together with JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo, form EP BiH Concern , with JP EP BiH as the head company.
