At Joyful Life Cochlear Implant Fund, we believe a person’s ability to hear should not depend on their ability to pay. Longtime cochlear implant recipient, Angela Irwin, founded the Joyful Life Cochlear Implant Fund during the pandemic to ensure her fellow cochlear implant recipients, in the U.S., have access to the ongoing critical sound processor technology that they need to keep their hearing and remain part of the hearing world. Angela also provides confidence coaching for cochlear implant recipients. Mission: We help uninsured and underinsured cochlear implant recipients keep their sound processors working to ensure they have stable hearing and can participate in daily life in the hearing world.
