Joy Theater Information

Nestled in the heart of New Orleans theater district at 1200 Canal Street, this intimate jewel-box theater once served as New Orleans first movie palace in the 1940’s. Today, the Joy Theater is dedicated to bringing “joy” back to the City of New Orleans and surrounding areas by serving as a 10,000 square foot, multi-purpose venue with state of the art sound and lighting. The Joy Theater provides a wide variety of entertainment throughout the year including live music, theatrical productions and other special events, accommodating up to 1,100 guests in an intimate setting.
